Simple Deep Conditioner For Natural Hair

After a long week of braid outs, twist outs, up-do’s, and fro’s, your hair may be a bit on the dry side. However, you may not have the time for a nice avocado and coconut oil deep conditioner. But, this simple deep conditioner will give your hair the moisture and shine it needs after a long holiday season. Here’s what you will need:

Oil blend like safflower oil, olive oil, and grape seed oil or another combination of your favorite oils

A spray bottle filled with water

A plastic cap

With your hair dry, saturate it with the oil blend. Be sure to massage the oils into your scalp and all the way down to the ends of your hair. Next, spray your hair with your water. Finally, put a plastic cap on your head. This water will create moisturizing atmosphere for your hair allowing for the oil to penetrate. Leave the cap on your head for at least an hour. While that hour is ticking away, you can check your email, cook some dinner, or catch up on the latest episode of Jersey Shore. Once the necessary amount of time has passed, you can either co-wash your hair and style as you normally would or you can simply take off the cap and style your hair in a braid out or twist out. The results will be soft and shiny hair that is moisturized.
