Every natural diva will try out a hair style to come to find that it did not come out the way the hoped it would. Then you have to scramble to find a quick fix to look presentable. Well, look no further my natural divas. Here are 4 ways to fix that natural hair flop and still look fabulous.
1. Braid out came out too tight? Perfect for a fake pony poof- This has happened to me many times. You braid your hair at night to rock and cute braid out the next day only to wake up looking like medusa. Well, this can be easily fixed. Try the fake pony poof. Start by spraying the sides and back of your hair with a water and oil mix. With a paddle brush, brush the sides and the front upward to a desired height. Slip on a tight elastic band that will not get tangled in your hair and push it back in the front of your hair and up in the back until you reach your desired look. Fluff it up and go about your day looking fabulous.
2. A hat is a quick fix for it all- So you have wake up and your hair is a hot frizzy mess. Don’t worry, just grab a hat. Knitted beanies are cute and can easily cover up any hair disaster. You can rock this look by covering all of your hair if it looks completely tragic and throw on some awesome statement earrings. Or you can leave out a fro bang in the front that you have tamed with some SheaMoisture Curl Smoothie and still throw on some funky earrings. The cool thing about knitted beanies is that you can find them anywhere, they come in any color imaginable, and go great with the cold weather!
3. Try the turban look- Another bad hair day and you have run out of styles. This is the perfect time to get creative. Go dig out that colorful patterned scarf from the bottom of your drawer and tie your hair up in a retro turban. Throw on some hot lipstick and a retro outfit to match. Turban tying instructions are way to complicated to write so here’s a link to one of my favorite youtubers that explains in fairly well. http://youtu.be/5nrghV-xW-Q
4. Wash and go’s fix everything- If you feel like your hair is just to far gone or you simply don’t have the time to fix it, smother your hair in conditioner and do a wash and go; they always look great!
